From 11.30am on Wednesday September 22,Palladium at Crown becomes THE arena for football mania as it attracts members of Victoria's football fraternity, valued Variety Ambassadors, celebrities and media personalities, plus loyal footy fans who come to assist in making this the football lunch of the year.
Now in its 27th year, the Variety Great Grand Final Luncheon has become a Melbourne social institution, raising over $700,000 to provide much needed support for Victoria's Special Needs Children.
Each year Variety presents The Heart of Football Award to a person in the football fraternity who has continually displayed outstanding commitment to children. The award recognises a current AFL player who has upheld these values and has inspired Variety through his selfless actions and dedication to children. Past recipients include Paul Dimattina, Glenn Archer, Matthew Richardson, Xavier Clark and Andrew McLeod. There is always a great line up of entertainment including music, auctions and a vibrant football panel.
