NORM HUTTON: CEO
|
|
Norm spent 10 years at Australian Airlines before turning to Community
Service as his major long term career path. He had nine years as
Business Development Manager at St John’s Ambulance and five years as
Commercial Enterprises Manager with The Brotherhood of St Lawrence. He
also completed an MBA and has been CEO of Variety since May 2000.

JANETTE CONNOLLY: Events & Administration Manager
|
|
Janette has worked in many areas of the music and entertainment
industry including TV production and corporate events. Her involvement
with Variety started in the area of corporate entertainment and led to
a position on the Board of Administration. This year Janette resigned
from the board to take an administrative position as events manager. In
her new role, she aims to increase the already strong commitment of the
entertainment industry to Variety the children’s charity. She is
married with two children.

HARRY CADLE: Bash Operations Manager
|
|
Harry came to Australia from England with his parents in 1967 and
worked as an electrical engineer and in project management with the
Department of Civil Aviation and the ANZ Bank. His first involvement
with Variety was as a Bash entrant in 1987 as a Bash entrant and became
Vic Bash Director in 1993. His hobbies include hot rodding and drag
racing, computer games and playing with new son, Daniel.

JULIE BAXTER: Bash Marketing & Admin Manager

SIOBHAN BROWNE: Fundraising Manager
|
|
I have been at Variety for 8 years. For 7 years I primarily worked on
Motor Events and mainly on the Bash. I recently left to have my
daughter Lara and returned to take up the role of Fundraising Manager.
My new role is very exciting and I am enjoying the challenge
tremendously.

LEEWAH BOUAKEO: Business Support Manager

MARK FREEMAN: Business Support
|
|
Mark has a Diploma of Hotel Catering & Management from William
Angliss College and his previous employment has been in international
hotels and banking. He was doing some book keeping for a former Variety
accountant and was offered a full time position with the charity. He
says the most rewarding part of the job is the smile on a child’s face
at any of the numerous functions Variety holds for Special Needs
Children.

ELYCE McKENZIE: Children's Programs Manager
|
|
Elyce began her working life in the Hospitality industry where she
worked for 3 years whilst undertaking a Diploma of Tourism & Event
Management. During her course Elyce was required to complete a 3 month
work placement and she choose Variety. After completing the placement
Elyce gained full time employment in the administration area. After a
year and a half in that position she has moved on to a new position
“Variety Programs Coordinator”. Her new role involves looking after the
children’s events known as “Variety at Work” and taking care of the
grants applications received at Variety along with Sunshine Coaches and
Liberty Swings.
