WHO WE ARE: Staff Tent 77


NORM HUTTON: CEO

 

Norm spent 10 years at Australian Airlines before turning to Community Service as his major long term career path. He had nine years as Business Development Manager at St John's Ambulance and five years as Commercial Enterprises Manager with The Brotherhood of St Lawrence. He also completed an MBA and has been CEO of Variety since May 2000.


 

JANETTE CONNOLLY: Events & Administration Manager

 

Janette has been on staff for 5 years and oversees all of our corporate events as well as developing our smaller motoring events from the 4WD Trek to the Splash. 

 

 

JULIE BAXTER: Bash Event & Development Manager

 

Julie has a long career in event management producing large corporate and community events. Julie took part in her first Bash in 2009 and is looking forward to growing the event in the future.


JEMMA MCCULLOUGH: VicBash Co-ordinator

 

Jemma joined Variety Victoria as the Bash Coordinator in April 2010. Her main responsibilities are to work as the entrant's point of contact and assist and support entrants with fundraising. She has over 7 years experience in the events industry including working for The National Heart Foundation and Compass Group at The O2 Arena in London. Jemma is excited to be working on such a unique event and is looking forward to her first Bash.


RYAN BROWN: General Manager - Fundraising and Communications 

 

Ryan joins us with a wealth of knowledge in the charity sector, most recently working in the fundraising department for Care Australia.


SIOBHAN BROWNE: Fundraising Manager

 

Siobhan's background has included Event Management in the Corporate Sports arena across Australia, the AFL and Advertising Industry. Siobhan has been at Variety since 1999, initially working in the Motoring Events Department for more than 5 years. In 2009 Siobhan joined the Fundraising Department as Fundraising Manager.


ROD DALGLISH: Business Manager

 

Rod Dalglish commenced his role as Business Manager for Tent 77 in 2010. Rod has had 15 years experience in the not-for-profit sector in a similar role. He has done numerous presentations at conferences within the sector in regards to governance and finance issues. He has three accounting degrees and is a member of the Certified Practising Accountants (CPA's), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

 

MARK FREEMAN: Business Support

 

Mark has a Diploma of Hotel Catering & Management from William Angliss College and his previous employment has been in international hotels and banking. He was doing some book keeping for a former Variety accountant and was offered a full time position with the charity. He says the most rewarding part of the job is the smile on a child's face at any of the numerous functions Variety holds for Special Needs Children.
